Well hello there, Austin Bloggers! After the success of the first BlogathonATX in August, we’re rolling up our sleeves and doing it again. We hope you will join us on January 29th for a full day of blogging, chatting, learning, commiserating, eating and more blogging. If you haven’t registered already, you can do so here: http://blogathonatx2011.eventbrite.com/. If it’s anything like last time, you won’t want to miss it!
Just like in the past, we will have plenty of options to keep you going…
- Two rooms for Free Blogging – These are the 2 largest rooms at our blogging venue, Conjunctured Coworking. They’ll be available for people who are there to write. This is not going to be a silent room, so we encourage you to bring those ear buds if you want to drown out some of the awesome.
- One room will be dedicated to setup/technical issues – Need help setting up your blog? Installing a theme or plugin? Editing that css file? At least one expert will be on hand all day to help.
- One room will be dedicated to discussions that interest YOU – PR, Marketing, Social Media, Productivity, etc. We will have moderators from Team ATX leading round table discussions throughout the day, and we encourage you all to participate. We will have a live streaming feed of this room so others may join in on the conversations.
- Team ATX – Austin is crawling with remarkably savvy people, many of whom will be attending BlogathonATX, and they’ll be available for group discussions. We’ll have four scheduled discussions, as well as ongoing conversation throughout the day. Details to come…
Thanks to Julie Gomoll and Jeremy Arntz, this brand new website is up and running. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for making it more valuable to you. This will be the home for updates and announcements about the event. Due to its popularity at the last BlogathonATX, we also have a Group Blog where you can check out your fellow bloggers and share some tidbits about YOU. No need to register or anything (although you can if you’d like) — just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and it’ll magically become a post. Your subject line will become the title of the post. We’d love to hear a little about you, what you do, why you’re coming to BlogathonATX, etc.
We’re having a blast putting this together and are so glad you’re attending. Please jump into the conversations leading up to the big day on January 29th, and feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or suggestions. This event is about YOU!
