Do you ever feel like you just don’t have enough time to blog? Or, like, me, you’ve set up your brand spankin’ new blog but haven’t done anything other than choose the font size for the header? Is your blog looming over you like a giant dark cloud of failure, taunting you for not posting? Do you find yourself rationalizing that you will finish the laundry, bathe the toddler and paint the kitchen on this weekend but next weekend it is all-blog-all-the-time? And then that weekend never happens? You are not alone. I’ve got the bloggy, bloggy blues. Fortunately, with #BlogathonATX coming up, I will have a day, a full day to devote to blogalicious activities. I need it!
My first #BlogathonATX was spent mainly socializing, making and drinking coffee (and later, ahem, quite a few adult beverages). I made new friends, participated in great panel discussions, soaked up advice and, most importantly, kept the food tables refreshed. I solemnly vowed to set up my new domain site.
#BlogathonATX Part Deux found me again keeping those food tables in order while finally installing WordPress on my site. Yes, it tooks months for me to keep my vow. Life is busy and having a demanding toddler at home doesn’t leave much time for writing these days. Knowing I’ve got a day to pound out posts, fiddle with the look of my site and ask a bazillion questions in the Tech Cave or during a marketing discussion is nothing short of pure gold. And, there’s always delicious food.
Here’s to happily blogging with, and learning from the excellent team at #BlogathonATX – Part 3!
