Last week I traveled to Armonk, NY headquarters of IBM for a planning meeting and then into the city after that for meetings at Ogilvy, our advertising agency at their offices, that happen to be in an old Chocolate Factory (very cool, but not quite Willie Wonka).
I had one night in New York City to spend with Mandy, so she made a reservation at a top-ranked Vegan restaurant that we had both been wanting to try, Candle 79. We journeyed from the LES to the UES for our reservation, but our table was not ready, so we journeyed a few blocks until we found a wine and tapas bar to sit and visit for awhile, called Pil Pil. Still wondering why the staff had on Doctor Seuss Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3…etc shirts. Maybe one of my New York Friends can clue me in on that one. Cute place and the roof is decorated in branches which made it feel like you were in an adult treehouse. (continued…“Life Lessons from a New York Cabbie”)
