I work a lot in the digital space. By the time the weekend’s here, I can’t even smell work or anything related. BlogathonATX is the exception. I’m happy to spend a Fall Saturday there, because it’s a great crowd of diverse, yet like-minded individuals, all blogging for the greater good. Everyone’s sharing, teaching, learning, and laughing together. I also get to help quite a few bloggers in ‘Room For Improvement’. Very rewarding experience every time.

I first went to BlogathonATX hoping to learn a little something and have the chance to meet some great people. I keep going back because the event always delivers all of that. The BlogathonATX community is supportive and fun. Also, FOOD.

I came to BlogathonATX with one mission: meet experts I could trust. I did just that and thanks to the connections made there I have seen a significant increase to my productivity, my sales and ultimately my bottom line.

I’ve attended almost every BlogathonATX event since they started years ago and get something new out of it each time! It’s not just about learning how to blog or building your digital personal brand, for me it was also about connecting with the other attendees. You never know who you will meet and how you can help each other. It’s what makes BlogathonATX one of my favorite events of the year. Even if you can only attend for part of the day, I promise it’s worth it!

The best thing about blogging and building an online community is that occasionally you get to meet up in real life. BlogathonATX is unique because not only is it an awesome opportunity to learn new skills for growing your online community, it’s also a meeting of like-minded writers, marketers and tech lovers. Every year I’ve found mentors and also had great fun sharing.

For me BlogathonATX is about community. While I always learn something at BlogathonATX from the panels and speakers – it is the other attendees that make it such a great event. Finding someone that is struggling with the issue you are and talking through it has proven invaluable to me.
—Terry Grier, Independent Insurance Agent, WhenInAustin podcaster/blogger
BlogathonATX remains true to the spirit of its beginning: a bunch of people interested in learning how to improve their writing, their marketing, and delivery of content on the Web. And doing this while laughing till they hurt, enjoying yummy food, meeting old friends, and making new ones. It’s not so much a conference as it is a really cool & fun Day Camp.
—Pat Ramsey, Web Development Consultant
I had predicted the decline of the blog at the Social Media Club Breakfast panel for 2010 Social Media Predictions in January 2010. BlogathonATX proved me wrong and changed my mind. It was great to see such a strong, enthusiastic blogging community in Austin who write truly thoughtful, enlightening blogs. I walked into the day because of the community, learned a lot throughout the day and walked away with a new found appreciation for where blogging still is alive and strong in the mix of Social Media in Austin, Texas. This was a terrific event.
—Kat Mandelstein, VP of Social Media Club Austin & Director, WW Marketing, Web & Events, IBM Collaboration Solutions
